John E. “Jack” Potter is the President and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). Under Potter’s leadership, Washington’s airports champion cultural diversity throughout the year. During Hispanic Heritage Month, the airports host a series of performances, which features dancers and music from Hispanic communities. The Airports Authority also targets its outreach to the Hispanic community by advertising in Spanish-language news outlets, promoting contracting opportunities through proactive programs for Hispanic-owned businesses, and providing translations on airport websites for Spanish-speaking passengers. The Airport Authority operates a two-airport system that provides domestic and international air service for the mid-Atlantic region. It has more than 1,500 employees.
