Millie Perez is the Special Events Coordinator at Latin American Youth Center (LAYC), where she has worked over 30 years. Her job includes everything from fundraising galas, breakfasts, parties and getting dozens of turkeys donated at Thanksgiving. Her goal is that hundreds of young Latinos receive just the right gift for the holidays. She enjoys developing partnerships with local businesses and community to serve the families in need. She also puts together YouthFest on 15th Street for the Youth to mentoring and guiding them.
Millie Pérez es Coordinadora de Eventos Especiales en el Centro Latinoamericano de la Juventud (LAYC), donde ha trabajado más de 30 años. Su trabajo incluye todo, desde galas de recaudación de fondos, desayunos, fiestas y docenas de pavos donados en el dia de Acción de Gracias. Su meta es que cientos de jóvenes latinos reciban el regalo adecuado para las fiestas. Le gusta desarrollar asociaciones con empresas y comunidades locales para atender a las familias que lo necesitan. Ella también reúne YouthFest en la calle 15 una oportunidad para alcanzar y orientar a los jóvenes.
