Natali Fani-González is the first Latina and first millennial to serve as Commissioner of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and a Member of the Montgomery County Planning Board. Appointed in October 2014, Fani-Gonzalez through the Board helps reviews master plans and policies governing growth and development throughout Montgomery County. Fani-González is the recent recipient of several prestigious awards, including the 2017 Washingtonian Magazine’s “40 Under 40” changemaker, the 2015 Montgomery Women Rising Star Award, the 2014 Citation of the Maryland General Assembly for Outstanding Contributions to the State of Maryland, the 2013 Leading Women Award from The Daily Record as well as the 2017 Entrepreneur Award from the Latino Democratic Club of Montgomery County.
