Franklin Garcia is the U.S. Representative (Shadow) for the District of Columbia. He works to bring democracy to more than 700,000 people in the capital by helping make the District of Columbia the 51st State in the union. He is part of a Statehood Congressional Delegation that includes two Senators and one U.S.Representative. Garcia is the former President and founder of the DC Latino Caucus, and current President of the non-profit DC Latino Leadership Council. He has held key positions in the campaigns of Hillary Clinton, former DC Mayor Adrian Fenty, and other politicians. He is the founder of the DCiReporter TV Show, writes for a Spanish language newspaper and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).
Franklin García es el representante en el Congreso (A la sombra) del Distrito de Columbia. Su enfoque es lograr la democracia para más de 700 mil residentes de la capital, ayudando a hacer que D.C. sea el estado número 51 en la unión. Forma parte de una Delegación para la Estadidad. Es ex-presidente y fundador del DC Latino Caucus y el actual presidente de la ONG Consejo de Liderazgo Latino de DC. Ha ocupado cargos clave en campañas de Hillary Clinton y del ex alcalde de DC Adrian Fenty, entre otros. Es el fundador del programa de televisión DCiReporter, escribe para un periódico en español y es miembro de la NAHJ.
