Dr. Geraldina Dominguez is the Director of the AIDS Malignancy Program in the Office of HIV and AIDS Malignancy at the National Cancer Institute. She plays a major role in developing and managing HIV and AIDS malignancy initiatives, including initiatives that increase research capacity in resource-constrained settings. She received her Ph.D. from Georgia State University in molecular virology and then received a postdoctoral fellowship to study human herpes viruses at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She was born in Cuba and is married to Reemberto Rodriguez. They have two sons, one grandson and a Chihuahua.
La doctora Geraldina Domínguez es la directora del Programa sobre Malignidad del SIDA en la Oficina de VIH y Malignidad del SIDA del Instituto Nacional de Cáncer. El desempeño de Domínguez es clave en el desarrollo y administración de iniciativas contra el VIH y SIDA, las cuales incluyen incrementar la capacidad de investigaciones en escenarios de recursos restringidos. Ella cuenta con un doctorado en virología molecular de la Georgia State University y participa en un estudio postdoctoral de los Centros para el Control y Prevención de Enfermedades, sobre los virus del herpes en humanos. Nació en Cuba y está casada con Reemberto Rodríguez. El matrimonio tiene dos hijos, un nieto y un chihuahua.
